Training Program

TNT provides a noncompetitive, comprehensive program to prepare you for an endurance running or walking event. The program is designed with the busy person in mind, so most weekday workouts are 45-90 minutes or less, with longer workouts on the weekend.

Designed and implemented by professional running and walking coaches, the training program consists of daily workout schedules (including rest days), team workouts on Saturdays or Sundays, and information clinics on shoes, gear, nutrition, stretching, and injury prevention.

Coaches provide weekly schedules that include strength training mileage to do on your own. It is recommended that participants attend at least 75% of coach lead trainings to help the coaches gauge your progress.


Prerequisites and Equipment

TNT welcomes all levels of experience, with light prerequisites. Our training program is designed to turn the beginning runner or walker into an endurance event finisher and to help seasoned runners and walkers meet their training goals.

Within the first few weeks of training the teams will attend a shoe clinic to help you chose the right shoe for you. As a TNT participant you will receive a training shirt and an event jersey for race day. You will also receive discounts at local retailers so that you can pick up an additional gear that you may want.
