Inspired by the first marathon competition in the 1896 Olympics, the Boston Marathon® is the world's oldest annual marathon and ranks as one of the world's best-known road racing events. The historic course runs through eight Massachusetts cities and towns, challenging runners through Heartbreak Hill, culminating in the center of Boston where the official finish line is located at Copley Square, alongside the Boston Public Library!

Blood Cancer United Team In Training is a proud member of the 2027 Bank of America Boston Marathon® Official Charity Program.

We are seeking 15 individuals who are ready to make a big impact on our mission to cure blood cancer and improve the quality of life of patients and their families.

The Team In Training experience

Your impact will go beyond the finish line when you join our community of teammates from across the country as you train for this unforgettable event. The TEAM community provides support every step of the way.  

Members of our Boston Marathon team will have 1:1 support from a professional fundraising staff partner to support you in exceeding your fundraising goals and help tell your story about why you’re raising lifesaving funds for Blood Cancer United. To help you meet your race goals, teammates will have access to our Training Resource Hub, exclusive training plans delivered through TrainingPeaks, educational webinars, and one-on-one support with a Team In Training Coach.  

Team In Training teammates will receive:

  • a Blood Cancer United Team In Training branded jersey to wear on race day

  • an invitation to a Team Celebration during event weekend

  • access to a guaranteed race entry ($390 fee paid by runner)

  • a custom co-branded apparel item

  • a post-race recovery and celebration lounge


Please note: All charity participants must comply with any rules or requirements set forth by the event organizers.
