Nike Women's Marathon
update: Nike has determined their entries by a lottery system, and
if you didn't get yours, not to worry! Team In Training has your entry,
guaranteed! You won't miss out on
receiving your Tiffany necklace, plus you'll love training with a team
while raising money for a great cause!
Team In Training is the world's largest endurance sports training program.
Since 1988, more than 380,000 volunteer athletes have helped to raise more
than $900 million to support our mission: Cure leukemia, lymphoma,
Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients
and their families.
Join us to walk or run a half or full marathon, cycle a 100-mile century
ride, or complete a triathlon. Sign up for an information
meeting in your area today to begin your journey. Get ready for
an experience of a lifetime!
If you're interested in training for one of
the following events for our Winter 2008 team being offered in Sacramento

When Ed Stone joined Team In Training at age 26, he had
already learned the hard way that "what doesn't kill you
makes you strong." As a young college student, he was
diagnosed with acute myelogenous leukemia, a cancer that
nearly ended his life. It took a risky bone marrow
transplant to save him. During the next 13 years, he
battled and persevered through two additional types of
cancer.
As if battling cancer weren't enough, at the same time, Ed
trained with TNT for no less than 12 events, including
marathons, half marathons, century (100-mile) bike rides
and eight triathlons!
"Cancer and the challenges of treatment taught me a few
things about endurance," said Ed. "When I learned I could
train with TNT and raise funds for cancer research to help
others, there was no stopping me."
Ed is living proof of the "mind-body connection." He has
beaten cancer and evolved into a world-class athlete. He is
the living answer to the question: "I wonder if I could do
an endurance event?" And the answer is, with "Team In
Training, yes you can!"
