The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Team In Training® (TNT) is the world's largest endurance sports training program. The Society provides you with the coaching, training and even the travel opportunities to make your athletic goals a reality. It's an unbeatable offer with great personal rewards.

What's the deal? In exchange for training and support, you raise money to find cures for blood cancers like leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma. Join National TNT Chairman Marty Liquori and the thousands of runners, walkers, cyclists and triathletes who will participate in the world's major marathons and centuries this year on behalf of the Society.

Join us as we wrap up our exciting 20th anniversary year, with 2 "once in a lifetime" events!

Please join us for one of our July or August Information Meetings for our Winter 2008-2009 events, highlighting our running and walking programs:

  • The Honolulu Marathon, Honolulu, Hawaii  December 14, 2008 (walk or run a full marathon)

  • The Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend, Orlando, Florida  January 10-11, 2009 (walk or run a full or 1/2 marathon)

When Ed Stone joined Team In Training at age 26, he had already learned the hard way that "what doesn't kill you makes you strong." As a young college student, he was diagnosed with acute myelogenous leukemia, a cancer that nearly ended his life. It took a risky bone marrow transplant to save him. During the next 13 years, he battled and persevered through two additional types of cancer.

As if battling cancer weren't enough, at the same time, Ed trained with TNT for no less than 12 events, including marathons, half marathons, century (100-mile) bike rides and eight triathlons!

"Cancer and the challenges of treatment taught me a few things about endurance," said Ed. "When I learned I could train with TNT and raise funds for cancer research to help others, there was no stopping me."

Ed is living proof of the "mind-body connection." He has beaten cancer and evolved into a world-class athlete. He is the living answer to the question: "I wonder if I could do an endurance event?" And the answer is, with "Team In Training, yes you can!"
