Welcome to New Mexico's Team In Training

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Team In Training® is the world's largest endurance sports training program. The program provides training to run or walk marathons and half marathons or participate in triathlons and century (100-mile) bike rides. Since 1988, more than 380,000 volunteer participants have helped raise more than $900 million.

By helping to raise funds for leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma research and patient services, you'll receive:

  • Personalized fitness training by certified coaches for a period of four to five months
  • Training clinics
  • Your own personal Web site for online fundraising
  • A supportive group of teammates and the camaraderie of new friends who share a common interest and the same goal as you
  • Lodging and airfare to more than 60 accredited events in the United States and abroad.

Rachael  was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia on January 20, 2006.  The diagnosis and subsequent treatments have truly changed the lives of everyone in our family. The weekly clinic visits, medicines from A to Z, needles and more needles have become part of the everyday life and vocabulary.

Worrying about fevers and infections and trying to understand all of the different reports and tests is taxing both mentally and physically on all of us---and most of all Rachael. The remarkable courage and spirit that Rachael has shown as she battles this terrible disease is nothing short of remarkable. Rachael has not complained about anything or even once said "Why Me?" She has tackled every challenge with a beautiful smile and resolve to not let leukemia beat her. She has adopted a mentality that is best summed up with the chorus of her new favorite song by LeAnn Womack----?And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance. Dance....I hope you dance. I hope you dance....I hope you dance.?

Rachael is now in remission, but continues her treatment to ensure that the leukemia does not return. Rachael is looking forward to the day she can run a marathon for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Rachael is now 10, loves to paint, sing, and play with her friends... And she hopes you will "DANCE".
