Welcome to New Mexico's Team In Training

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Team In Training ® is the world's largest endurance sports training program. The program provides training to run or walk marathons and half marathons or participate in hiking adventures, triathlons and century (100-mile) bike rides. Since 1988, more than 380,000 volunteer participants have helped raise more than $900 million.

By helping to raise funds for leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma research and patient services, you'll receive:

Personalized fitness training by certified coaches for a period of four to five months Training clinics Your own personal Web site for online fundraising A supportive group of teammates and the camaraderie of new friends who share a common interest and the same goal as you Lodging and airfare to more than 60 accredited events in the United States and abroad.

Cycle

America's Most Beautiful Bike Ride

  • Event Location: Lake Tahoe, NV
  • Event Distance: 100, or 72 miles

Event Description:
This is one of the most scenic and awe-inspiring rides you will ever experience. Imagine enjoying the scenic beauty of Lake Tahoe, with its crystal clear blue waters surrounded by magnificent mountains, as you ride around its shoreline. Spectacular scenery, clear mountain air, great food and full support by experienced race organizers make this a must for riders of all abilities!

Santa Fe Century Ride

  • Race Date: May 16, 2010
  • Event Location: Santa Fe, NM
  • Event Distance: 25, 50, 75, 100 miles

Event Description:
A hundred miles of history pass under your wheels as you bicycle down the ancient Turquoise Trail through the old mining towns of Madrid and Golden, across the mineral rich Ortiz and San Pedro Mountains, across the Estancia Valley through the villages of Cedar Grove and Stanley and on to the very old village of Galisteo, and 100 miles after you start, wheel back into Old Santa Fe. In addition, there are 25, 50, & 75 mile "out & back" routes and an easy 50 mile ATB loop with 6 miles of country dirt road.

Hike

Big Bend National Park

This 801,000 acre park of wildlife and wonderful scenery of arid planes and mountains in far-west Texas. In the middle of the park, the Rio Grande turns sharply giving the park it's name.

Hike Grand Adventure

  • Event Date: June 3-6, 2010

In one of the most beautiful places in the world, you will cross clear blue pools of water descending at Havasu into the heart of the Grand Canyon.

Marathon

San Diego Rock 'n' Roll Marathon & Half Marathon

  • Race Date: June 6, 2010
  • Event Location: San Diego, CA
  • Event Distance: Full Marathon (26.2 miles) or Half Marathon (13.1 miles)

Event Description:
Voted Best Race and Best Post-Race Party by Competitor Magazine, this races combines a marathon with entertainment. Live music along the course (26 stages) to the finish line. Afterwards, a post race concert highlighting a major headliner will perform.

Steamworks Half Marathon

  • Race Date: June 19, 2010
  • Event Location: Durango, CO
  • Event Distance: Half Marathon (13.1 miles)

Event Description:
In the midst of the Mountains in southwestern Colorado, the Durango, a high-elevation course begins at Baker's Bridge, used in the filming of Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. it then winds along the Animas River to finish at the Durango Sports Club where a great party for everyone will be!

Seattle Rock 'n' Roll Marathon & Half Marathon

  • Race Date: June 26, 2010
  • Event Location: Seattle, WA
  • Event Distance: Full Marathon (26.2 miles) or Half Marathon (13.1 miles)

Event Description:
This event features ideal weather and beautiful scenery for running or walking. This event also features live bands along the course and post-race. Both the full and the half marathon start in Tukwila and wind along Lake Washington, finishing in downtown Seattle.

Triathlon

Jay Benson Triathlon

  • Event Date: May 9, 2010
  • Event Location: ABQ, NM
  • Event Distance:3 mile run, 20 k bike, and ends with 400 meter pool swim

Event Description:
A great event for those who are beginners or seasoned athletes of triathlons, this is the oldest tri-event in the state which originated in 1977. Plus, as a local event, you will get the benefit of having all of your friends and family be able to come cheer you on as well as other TNT participants and alumni!
