Team In Training is the largest fundraising program of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS). So, when you join TNT, you are not only making a difference in your own life, but in the lives of so many people fighting blood cancers.
TNT was founded back in 1988 and the program has grown by leaps and bounds since that time. TNT is the largest, oldest and most successful program of its kind in the world. Each year in the Washington/ALaska Chapter, we train hundreds of athletes to complete endurance events. Since TNT's founding, participants just like you, have helped us raise over $1 billion for blood cancer research!
But, even with all of that money, there is still no cure. And that's where you come in. As you train and fundraise, you will be helping us get one step closer to a cure!
You will make a significant impact on our patients' lives by fundraising for LLS and supporting research and patient services. The money you raise will go to support local researchers right here in the pacific northwest, as well as providing assistance to thousands of patients and their families living in Washington and Alaska.
The Fundraising Support section includes a vast array of resources to help support you in your fundraising campagin. From template letters, to fundraising event ideas and how-to's, to tax ID information -- it's all right here!
Our Succes Depends on Yours
If you don't reach your goals, then we cannot reach our goal of finding a cure. We give you with all the tools necessary to fundraise successfully; all you need to do is take advantage of them.
The pages in the "Fundraising Support" section to the right will provide you with the guidance necessary to fundraise like a 'rock star' and to actually enjoy doing it! You can download a copy of the information contained in these pages here: Fundraising 101 Packet.
How to Use This Guide
To give yourself an overview of all the resources, we recommend that you start with the "Fundraising Timeline" section and make your way down the list or pages from there. Don't worry about remembering it all. The goal is simply to familiarize yourself with all the tools at your disposal and then when the time comes, you'll know where to find what you need.
Don't be afraid to use these ideas as jumping off points for you own fundraising efforts. Chances are if you plan a fundraiser that you enjoy, there will be other people that will enjoy it too and be willing to donate to join in. Be creative and have fun!
