Words About the Program

Words From Past Participants:
"I joined Team In Training shortly after I had lost my mother to leukemia.  I chose a patient hero from my home town that was about the same age and occupation as my mother.

"I had such a wonderful experience with the TNT program! It was very motivating to ride with the team, they were highly encouraging during training. The sense of comradeship helped me go that extra mile when I thought I just couldn't - or even worse, the few times when I just didn't want to.

"The highlight of my experience wasn't raising money above my goal, nor was it finishing the ride faster and fresher than I expected.  It was that my patient hero had flown in to watch the whole ride (in the rain) and cheer me and my teammates on.  That meant so much and helped me realize the reason why we do this!."

"My sister, Suzanne, and I did America's Most Beautiful Bike Ride this past June in Lake Tahoe. I still don't feel like I can put into words what an incredible experience that was for us! Every aspect of it was absolutely amazing...

"First and foremost, we believe in the cause - 75% of all of the monies spent went directly to cancer research. We will continue to support this organization for years to come.  It was definitely not a simple task - we both began training in January to prepare ourselves mentally and physically for the journey ahead. On the ride, there were two major mountains to climb - one climb was an 8-mile switchback up to overlook Emerald Bay and the other major climb was 11 miles up to Spooner Summit... the scenery from both were absolutely gorgeous! The remaining 81 miles were rolling hills and many shorter climbs... all of which was stunning. We never thought of giving up... we laughed, talked, and enjoyed those, who from Mile 1 were standing along the roadways thanking us for our dedication!  We had tears in our eyes as we came through the finish line."
