Team In Training's triathlon program offers the opportunity to take on the challenge of swimming, cycling, and running an Olympic-distance triathlon and make a difference in the lives of an estimated 912,938 Americans living with blood cancers. Along with a customized-training program and expert coaching, participants will train with a local group of like-minded individuals for motivation and inspiration.

Lavaman Triathlon
March 3, 2010 - Kona, HI
Olympic (0.93 mi. swim, 24.8 mi. bike, 6.2 mi. run). This is the 7th year the Washington/Alaska Chapter of Team In Training will participate in the Lavaman Triathlon. Set just north of Kona, in the Waikaloa area of the 'Big Island". You will swim .9 miles in a protected bay of warm water, where you will see many colorful fish swimming below. You will then ride 25 miles on easy rolling hills on the Queen-K highway, covering part of the Ironman Hawaii course. You will then run 6.2 mi. through Waikaloa resort and the lava-fields before finishing on the beach, where the best post-race party ever awaits you!
New Balance Half-Iron Triathlon
June 20, 2010 - Victoria, BC
Half-Iron Distance(1.2 mile swim, 54 mile bike, 12.4 mile run). The New Balance Half-Iron Triathlon is set just north of Victoria on Vancouver Island, British Colombia. You will swim in the serene and fairly warm waters of Elk Lake, then ride two loops for a total of 54 miles on the scenic, rolling hills of the Saanich Peninsula, followed by a 12.4 mile run on a beautiful and flat trail around the lake.
