The Tour of Anchorage
March 7, 2010
25K Classical Style
25K, 40K, 50K Freestyle
See all of Anchorage in a 50k, 40k, or 25k route across town. Billed as a premier ski marathon, The Tour is part of the American Ski Marathon Series, North America's longest running and largest citizen's racing and touring series. This is an event that combines great local grassroots support with an international field and a warm welcome to skiers from around the United States and all over the world.
The Tour of Anchorage features a point to point course at sea level and actually consists of four distinct races, a 25k classical race, and a 25k, 40k and 50k freestyle. The 40k and 50k start on one side of Anchorage and go through the middle of town, along bike trails. The 25k race starts in the middle of town and uses the same course. All the races finish at Kincaid Park. Bus transportation back to the starts will be provided.
