Matt G.: Disney Marathon 2011, Boston Qualifier
"Thank you. I had a great time. Only wish I could have stayed for the victory celebration but we had to get the kids back for school on Monday. You should be really proud of yourself for putting together such a personal experience for everyone in our group to share together. From the awesomeness awards to the touching personal stories of how cancer has affected each person individually. My race time finish is what I can do to help and give hope. Cancer has made me stronger and more focused to push myself. Thanks for the whole Disney experience!"
"Lauren & I had a great time race weekend and I really appreciate everything you and the TEAM did in helping me complete my 1st Marathon!"
- Ryan A.: Disney Marathon 2011
"Hi Team, Taking an opportunity to thank you for everything you do to help us achieve our goals. You being there for us, who need a bit more of hand holding than the norm, really makes the difference. I am happy to share that I bettered my time by 44 minutes with no injuries to report! My personal goal was to help with work stress, which I did through running, and to run a marathon again before I turned 40 (which I will in a couple of years). No "bite me" moments except when Coach Lyle approached me. Instead of being my happy self I think I said "how much longer, I'm dying!". For whatever reason it crossed my mind to stop running and just walk but then there was Coach Lyle to talk me into continuing for the last 3/10 of the 26th mile. THANK YOU!"

"My favorite WDW Marathon Weekend memories:
-
The incredible inspiration dinner with the line up of encouraging coaches on the way in and the stories of why we run!
-
Trying to pull off the "Fire Power" pose with teammates at crap-o'clock Saturday morning!
-
Standing in our corral, lined up with thousands of runners, and PJ telling Jim and I, "We WILL run and finish this race TOGETHER".
-
Running through Cinderella's Castle...I felt like a kid again..awesome!
-
Rounding the corner after a tough hill to find Coach Lyle waiting for us acting like he was as happy to see us as we were to see him.
-
Whitney telling us we looked "awesome!" at the very moment I felt like an aching blob of total un-awesomeness (is that a word?).
-
PJ's encouraging and patient coaching at just the right moments through the entire race!
-
Getting through my own personal "wall"...with my teammates at my side.
-
The stunning show of support along the way by TNT cheering maniacs!
-
Jim's craziness that compounded with each mile and sip of PowerAde...even putting his nametag on his head...the comradarie of laughter in the middle of challenge is powerful fuel!
-
PJ's final coaching comment to me as we turned into the finish line, "Get those shoulders back, sister, we're going in straight and tall!".
-
Crossing the finish line with PJ and Jim, together, hands in the air...My first half marathon complete!
-
My parents meeting me in the TNT tent after the race with tears in their eyes over my accomplishment!
-
Having a chance to get better acquainted with teammates at dinner on Saturday night.
-
Swearing off ever running again on Saturday only to wake up Sunday ready to sign up for the next event!
-
Cheering in my pacing partner, Marisa, as she came into the finish line of her first marathon!
-
Showing off my medal at work on Tuesday with co-workers appropriately impressed!
-
The almost indescribable feeling of having accomplished something I had once thought completely impossible!
Thank you TNT coaches, captains, and team-members, who made all of the above magically possible!"

"So many emotions in my head right now. What an amazing experience this weekend was- I had it all! I can't say enough good about Team In Training and our team was truly the best! The nicest people in the world. Thank you THANK YOU!!"

"Anna and I want to thank you for all you have done for us during this last year. It is impossible for me to express how much this weekend meant to us except to say it was one of the greatest moments of my life! Friday night was INCREDIBLE and reinforced all the reasons why we are doing this. I had no idea there would be so many people running for TNT and how many supporters were on the sidelines. We could not have done it without all of you and the entire Suncoast TNT Team. Can we do it again?"
"I just wanted to say thanks for all your help through this amazing journey I just went through!"
- Randy H, Disney Marathon, 2011
"Thank you so much for waiting for Terri and me at the finish of the Cure on Wheels event. That was great of you to do so. Sorry we were so slow. Terri was having an especially hard time and I wanted to stay with her and encourage her to finish. It felt great to have accomplished that and today I feel surprisingly great. Please thank Kurt as well. He wasn't our coach and yet he stayed to cheer us in. It was a really good feeling to have you all there at the end cheering."
Lisa M, Cure On Wheels, 2010
"I wanted to drop you all a line and say (choked up!) THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU! You all are so amazing and I am so blessed to have each and every one of you in my life! This was my very first race and I know you understand how excited and emotional I am, but this is something that I can't explain! I hope you have received a thousand of these emails because you deserve it! I was not the fastest but I finished and it was because of you all and your support. I will be 38 this weekend and I never would have thought at my age and only training for 6 months that I would be able to do this! Let's face it, the years after college weren't the most fit for me!! LOL!! You all made us feel like family and I always knew that I had a support system who would not judge me or make me feel less than the best runners! You all deserve so much more than this and I wish I could give LLS the world, but knowing that you were cheering us on made all the difference!"
- Michelle V, Disney Wine & Dine, 2010
"I just wanted to thank you again for doing such a great job. You kept everything flowing nicely. It could not have been any better! I will never forget the experience and all the people."
