Team Honored Heroes

Each Team In Training® participant can train in honor or memory of someone from their personal life who has been affected by cancer. Participants can also train and fundraise in honor of a local team honoree who is a blood cancer patient or survivor.

 

Fall Team 2008

Dean Valibhai

Team: Nike & Rock 'n' Roll San Antonio

Type of Blood Cancer: Hodgkin's Lymphoma

Date of Diagnosis: February 17, 2005

Current Status: Remission, 1 year

 

As an Honored Hero I hope to:

Raise awareness for blood cancers and help raise money to find a cure.

Types of Treatment: One monthRradiation and four months Chemotherapy

Current Status: Remission

As an Honored Hero I hope to:

Support the team and be the face of blood cancer survival and strength for my teammates

Experience is what you get when you don?t get what you want. This moto got me through treatment and I always think of it when I am running. Team in Training will be a phenomenal experience and you will make treatment and survival an option for someone fighting cancer and their family. Thank you!

Type of Blood Cancer: ALL (Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia)

Date of Diagnosis: March 2006

Types of Treatments: Chemotherapy

Current Status: Chemo and in Remission

Date of Diagnosis: November 1998, Relapsed in June 2003

Current Status: Remission
