Meet the Coach

Welcome to Team In Training!  I feel honored to be your coach this season and look forward to getting to know all of you over the coming months.  When we are done with this journey you will be amazed at what you accomplished.  Your Team In Training Mentors and I will be with you every step of the way to make sure you meet your goals.  You will be shocked to learn what you can accomplish and will be surprised by how rewarding, fun, and easy raising money and training for a half or full marathon can be.

This is my second season with Team In Training.  This past season I was a participant, so I have fresh memories of what it takes to cross the both the fundraising and race finish lines.  Over the ten plus years I have been running, I have run two marathons.  However, even though I was four years older, with a few more gray hairs, my best experience was finishing the San Diego Marathon a couple of weeks ago with my Team In Training friends.  You will discover as I did, the support of the team and the friendships that you develop make this a fantastic experience.  All of this and I was able to make a difference in the fight against blood cancers.

I am excited about being the coach and about the great group of mentors we have this season and together we are committed to making sure you have a great Team In Training experience.  We are going to make a real difference for those suffering from blood cancers and we are going to have a great time doing it.

So as John Wayne said ?Slap some bacon on a biscuit and let?s go, we?re burning daylight!?
