Marathon Rio Grande Valley - Mary Ann Powers
Mary Ann joined Team In Training as a participant in the spring of 2008. It was such a wonderful experience that she has returned for 3 more seasons with this being her fourth. She has completed 2 marathons, and several 5K?s and 10K?s, having also been a participant in the Beach to Bay in Corpus Christi since 2006. She has been a runner for several years since high school but never really set herself to a full marathon until joining Team In Training. The friends she has made and will continue to make have kept her returning. Mary Ann also enjoys helping others cross that finish line and most important raising donations for Blood Cancers.  This is why she decided that she cannot replicate my first event but she can try and help you have that same AWESOME experience several Team In Training alumni have had.  So let?s get those running shoes tied and hit the pavement and have fun!!!
