As for the date, Joe said "A big part of what our date would be like would depend on who the woman is.  I might try and learn a few things about what she likes to do and tailor the date towards her interests as well.  I think a fun date for me might have some physical element in it.  Perhaps a hike or play a sport or game?  Go on some sort of a mini adventure -something that you might not normally do.  Then a nice dinner and maybe go hear a band or grab a few drinks at a pub or maybe dessert at some hole in the wall restaurant."
