About the Triathlon Teams
TNT provides a noncompetitive, comprehensive training program to prepare you for a triathlon. The training program is designed with the busy person in mind, so most weekday workouts are 45-90 minutes or less, with longer workouts reserved for the weekend.
We have two triathlon teams/training sites to choose from:
- Silicon Valley - Trains in and around San Jose, Menlo Park, & Mountain View
- Monterey/Santa Cruz - Trains in and around Monterey, Santa Cruz, & Soquel
Skill & Ability
TNT welcomes all levels of experience. Our training program is designed to turn the non-athlete into an endurance event finisher and to help seasoned athletes meet their training goals. Coaches work with beginners and intermediate swimmers and cyclists on skill, form and confidence.
What's Next?
- Registration: When you sign up, your registration fee helps LLS pay for your first six weeks of training. This registration fee is also applied towards your fundraising goal and gets you started early.
- Kickoff (for local teams, May 19 for Peninsula & South Bay teams, May 20 for Monterey & Santa Cruz teams): Meet your teammates, coaches and staff for the first time at Kickoff. Your first coached workout will take place the week after Kickoff.
- Commitment (about six weeks after Kickoff): This is your opportunity to assess your progress. At this time, you make the decision to either stay on the team and finish your training and fundraising, or withdraw from the team with no further obligation.
