Team In Training, Campaign Coordinator (Full time, Exempt)
The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Southern Florida Chapter seeks an enthusiastic, self motivated, highly organized individual to add to our fundraising staff, that will help build our expanding market s.
· Full time -Tuesday thru Friday (9am ? 5:30pm), Saturday (5-7 hour training site visits) some Monday and evening hours required
· Start Date-ASAP
Job Description: This individual will be responsible for recruiting, managing, and retaining fundraising volunteers for a sports endurance training and fundraising campaign.
This individual will work under the supervision, direction, and training of the Campaign Manager and Director or assigned staff to accomplish assigned duties and responsibilities.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Implements plans for assigned events
- Prepares elements of campaign materials required for the successful implementation of assigned events
- Recruits and provides staff support for volunteers required for implementation of assigned events, regularly participating in team activities
- Coordinates elements of promotional activities to ensure the success of events and to enhance public awareness of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and its mission
- Prepares and/or coordinates and maintains assigned campaign correspondence, financial records and statistical reports as needed
- Ensures assertive and timely data and lead management, including, but not limited to, cold calling, follow-up, solicitation and engagement of participants and volunteers
- Serves as the primary support for assigned participants. Establishes and builds personal relationships with team members to result in successful individual fundraising campaign, event completion and retention for continued volunteerism. Works individually with participants to strategize fundraising plans.
- Assists, as assigned, in the development and implementation of other chapter activities
- Maintains a working knowledge of and commitment to
The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society mission and its programs, effectively utilizing Honored Teammates and/or "mission moments" in all activities
- 30% travel
Position Requirements : The highly desirable candidate will have a proven track-record with fundraising and events management, be capable of balancing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, and have solid public speaking experience. Candidates must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, superior computer and administrative skills (including Microsoft Office), be detail-oriented and a team player. A background in marketing and knowledge and love of endurance sports is desirable. Bachelor's Degree preferred.

- Designing a 16- to 20-week, day-by-day training program that will prepare individuals for their race day events
- Arranging and hosting weekend training sessions around the South Florida area
- Weekly communications with team members via emails that include training tips and program updates
- Supporting teams on race day
