Team In Training's cycling program offers the opportunity to take on the challenge of 100 miles and make a difference in the lives of an estimated 912,938 Americans living with blood cancers.  Along with a customized training program and expert coaching, participants train with a local group of like-minded individuals for motivation and inspiration.

Solvang Century
Solvang, CA - March 13, 2010
100 Mile Century Ride

Solvang, the "Danish Capital of America", is one of the most popular cycling regions in California. Solvang is a quaint village with excellent restaurants, Danish bakeries, shopping, horse-drawn carriages, parks, people in costume, wine-tasting, vineyards, and lots of fun things for the whole family to see and do.

The Solvang Century has a wonderful and unique route which is unlike any other organized ride in the area. Riders will experience the very best of the Santa Ynez valley and then head out to points beyond. This figure eight style course starts with a tour of Solvang, Los Olivos, Ballard and Santa Ynez, and then heads up the well-known Foxen Canyon. The route then loops back around towards Solvang via Zaca Station, Hwy 154 and beautiful Ballard Canyon. Riders then head South towards Buellton and veer off on the famous Avenue of the Flags which becomes Santa Rosa Road. Cycling the back roads of Lompoc, riders will head up and over Harris Grade and drop back down to Hwy 135 towards the great little western antique haven of Los Alamos. From Los Alamos, riders encounter the last big challenge of the day, up and over Drum Canyon. Once riders reach the bottom, they will hop onto Hwy 246 back to Buellton, with a big shoulder all the way to town and the finish line.
