While soliciting donations outside of Walmart a woman opened her purse and took every coin and dollar out and put it in my jar (it was a handful of cash!). She said, "I'm a leukemia survivor. Someone like you ran for me when I couldn't. I am alive today because of what you are doing, giving of yourself completely!" I hugged her and I said to her: "Thank you for giving to the cause that saved your life. Another will be saved because of you! I am blessed to know you and share this ground with you and I am so happy you are alive!" As tears welled in her eyes, she said "thank you" and walked away.
