Triathlons

- The Triathlon at Pacific Grove: Pacific Grove, CA September 10 and 11, 2011
Sprint (.25-mi swim, 12.4-mi bike, 2-mi run) or Olympic distance (.93-mi swim, 24.8-mi bike, 6.2-mi run). The course begins with the famous Kelp Crawl swim, where "assistance from sea otters or sea lions is strictly prohibited." The cycling and running courses lie along the Pacific Grove coastline, with breathtaking views for participants to admire as they push themselves to the limit while admiring crowds cheer.

Half Ironman distance (1.2-mi swim, 56-mi bike, 13.1-mi run). This coastal course features breathtaking views of the rugged California shore and a dramatic finish at the main stage of the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk

Olympic distance (.93-mi swim, 24.8-mi bike, 6.2-mi run). From its one-of-a-kind route in and around the monuments of Washington, D.C. to its extra large transition area, fast course design and athlete-friendly attitude, this race is great for new triathletes and seasoned veterans alike.

Half Marathon (13.1 mi run, walk or run/walk). Feel the magic yourself while this half marathon transports you through Sleeping Beauty's castle and an excursion through Disney's California AdventureTM Park as your high-five favorite characters. All of your dreams come true as the race route takes you past landmarks in Anaheim, including a stretch through Angel Stadium and back to Downtown Disney finish line. - Urban Cow Half Maraton: Sacramento, CA, October 2

The Sacramento Cowtown race has been renamed the Urban Cow Half Marathon, Relay & 5K, and has been a fixture on this city's road race calendar since its inaugural running in 1977. The 13.1-mile flat and fast half marathon is an out-and-back loop course, starting at Sacramento's tree-lined William Land Park through trails and the Golf Course, and along the Sacramento riverfront marina, through beautiful older neighborhoods to the finish line back in William Land Park. - Bank of America Chicago Marathon: Chicago, IL, October 9
