The ASICS LA Marathon is the pinnacle of achievement for runners. Runners from all 50 states and more than 55 countries will set out from Dodger Stadium to accomplish a personal dream by reaching the Finish Line in Santa Monica. Enjoy this one of a kind Stadium to the Sea course as it takes you from Dodger Stadium across Los Angeles to a scenic finish just steps from the Santa Monica Pier.
About The Training
For marathons and half marathons, TNT welcomes all levels of experience. Our marathon training program is designed to turn the non-athlete into an endurance event finisher and to help the seasoned athlete meet specific training goals. We suggest that you try running or walking at least one mile by the first coached workout, but you'll be in good company even if you have no running or walking experience. Don't worry about buying anything right now, as there will be a gear clinic at the start of the program.
TNT marathon coaches have designed three to five month training programs. Participants will train and work directly with the coaches at weekly Saturday or Sunday trainings.
The training program, designed and implemented by professional running and walking coaches, consists of daily workout schedules and team workouts every Saturday. We also offer clinics on nutrition, proper shoe and clothing selection, speed work and injury prevention. The program is designed to take participants from a beginning base and build gradually, tapering two weeks prior to the event weekend.
Daily workout schedules are provided so participants know how much ground to cover each day. The training program is designed with the busy person in mind. Most weekday workouts are an hour or less, with longer workouts reserved for the weekend.
The TNT marathon program offers a qualified and dedicated group of coaches. Our coaches were selected for their experience, professionalism, knowledge and enthusiasm, as well as their devotion to the cause. All of our coaches have coaching experience, Coaching Certifications and have proven themselves in numerous athletic endeavors. Coaches are also available throughout the week to answer training and fitness-related questions.
