Honorees
One of the most unique and special aspects of the TNT experience is the Honored Heroes program. Through this program each team trains and raises funds in honor of a local blood cancer patient or survivor. Honored Teammates serve as motivational symbols of strength, keeping participants inspired and motivated as they test the limits of their endurance and raise their funds. So often people are asked to raise funds for a charity with very little understanding of how valuable their efforts are. By honoring a member of our own community, and hearing their story firsthand, participants are able to understand the extreme value of their efforts.
Interested in becoming an Honored Hero?
As an Honored Hero, you will be asked to share your strength and courage with the people who are currently raising funds to support the Society's mission. These people will be conducting their fundraising efforts in your honor. You can provide them with the inspiration they need to be successful in their endeavors. Honored Heroes can be as active and involved with their team as they are able. We encourage all of our Honored Heroes to attend as many events and meet as many of their teammates as possible. Honored Heroes are also encouraged to write letters, send emails or call the people on the team, to provide encouragement and share appreciation.
As an Honored Hero, you will gain a community of new friends who are helping to find a cure for blood cancers.
If you feel you would like to be a part of this remarkable program, please fill out our Honored Hero Application and contact Jennifer Kalker at Jennifer.Kalker@lls.org or 714-481-5612
