Larry Comroe Memorial Team

In honor and memory of the recent passing of honored teamate Larry Comroe our coaches Felica La Forge and Jason Fleischer have started a friends and family team.  The following is a letter from Jason and Felica inviting you to be a part of their team to help honor Larry: 

As many of you know, we have been involved with Team in Training (TNT) and The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS) for years (too many to count). Together we have been a part of over 20 seasons (as both coaches, mentors and participants).ã?? To say that TNT and LLS has had a major positive impact on our lives, would be a huge understatement.

This coming year, we are looking to take our experience to a different level and we are inviting all of you to get involved and be a part of it! Take a minute to recognize how special and important you are for making this list.

We are creating a Family and Friends team in memory of our friend, Larry Comroe.  We met Larry in 2004 while mentoring the TNT Westchester Tri Team. Larry was an honored teammate (cancer survivor) that season. He instantly became a close friend to both of us, and we all went on to complete many events over the years for TNT together. Larry became a spokesperson for the Society. To list his accomplishments and all he did for LLS, would be too long. After years of being cancer free, Larry relapsed earlier this summer and lost his battle in September. We find it difficult, even now, to comprehend why this happened to such a positive person who did so much good, for so many people. However, as we all know...this is cancer and this is why, after so many years, we continue to fundraise for a cure.

We are determined to have his legacy live on! We have created this Family and Friends team and our goal is to raise $100,000! That is not a typo. When we do this, an award will be named in Larry's memory. We are determined to make this happen. And if you know us, you know we will find a way to get it done!

Here's how it works - you have options:I want to join TNT's Spring or Summer Season - We are encouraging you to sign up for the NYC Half Marathon on March 18^th (spots are limited) or the San Diego Full/Half Marathon on June 3, but all other races are available (Madrid & NJ Marathon, St. Anthony's, Lavaman & NYC Triathlon, NYC Ironman, Lake Tahoe & Montauk Century Ride).
