The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Northern Ohio Chapter is open 8:30 a.m - 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. If you would like to come by the office to pick up Team In Training® (TNT) materials or to discuss the program, please call in advance. We are often out of the office at meetings and want to make sure we are here to serve you.
Meet our Staff
Tracy Srail, (440) 617-2873, ext. 21
Tracy has been with the Society since April 1999. She has been to more than 25 events to cheer on northern Ohio participants. Tracy walked her first marathon in December 2000 at the Tampa Bay Marathon. Writing, traveling and spending time with friends are several of Tracy's hobbies.
Tracy's advice to participants is to attend as many team gatherings as possible. This will enhance the entire experience for you. When you are going through difficult times during training and fundraising, remember the reason you are working so hard - to find a cure! Know that everything you are doing is making a difference. Enjoy the journey.
Tracy's goal is to make Team In Training a positive experience for you. She wants you to be successful and will help you in any way she can!
Tracy will be coordinating the travel arrangements for the Rock 'n' Roll Marathon® and will be the contact for all Toledo participants.
Nicci Avalon, (440) 617-2873, ext. 24
Nicci has been with Team In Training since February 2001. She completed her first marathon at WALT DISNEY WORLD® in January 2003. Nicci enjoys reading, cross-stitching and decorating her home. She and her husband are anticipating the arrival of their second child in July 2006.
Nicci's advice to participants is to utilize the resources available to you - staff, mentor, coach and honoree. You'll gain lifelong friends if you communicate with these folks as well as your teammates.
The most rewarding aspect of Nicci's job is the daily interaction with participants. By participating in Team In Training you can rest assured that you have played a part in finding a cure for blood cancers.
Nicci is the staff contact for the P.F. Chang's® Rock 'n' Roll ArizonaTM Marathon & 1/2 Marathon, The Jamba Juice Wildflower Triathlons and the Rite Aid Cleveland Marathon & 1/2 Marathon.
Kristen Carpenter, (440) 617-2873, ext. 23
Kristen has been with the Society since January 2003. She completed the Rock 'n' Roll Half Marathon® in 2003. Her hobbies include camping, watching baseball games and spending time with friends and family.
Kristen's advice to participants is to listen to your coaches and to your heart. Neither one will lead you in the wrong direction.
Kristen is glad to be part of the Society and hopes that you will be, too. Kristen has been personally impacted by the cause. Her grandfather had non-Hodgkin lymphoma before he passed away from other health problems. She doesn't want anyone to go through such pain, which is why she will be here until a cure is found!
Kristen is the staff contact for the WALT DISNEY WORLD® Marathon Weekend, Country Music MarathonTM & 1/2 Marathon and America's Most Beautiful Bike Ride.
