Thank You notes and Tax Receipts for Donors

Donors who contribute via your online fundraising page will receive a thank you and a tax receipt from LLS via e-mail, rather than via postal mail. These acknowledgments, in addition to the donors' canceled checks or credit card statements, serve as receipts. Tax receipts are also available upon request from the LLS New Mexico/El Paso office.

It is highly recommended that you personally acknowledge all contributions you received in your fundraising efforts by email, letter, or postcard. This helps your donors feel appreciated and makes it much more likely that they will donate again in the future. They are also interested in seeing you succeed in your fundraising!

A creative way to thank your donors is to create a photo postcard of you with your honored hero, or of you crossing the finish line at your event. These can be printed relatively inexpensively at places like Wal-Mart, Walgreens, and other places that have a photo center.
