Training
Our certified coaches create a 4-6 month training schedule starting at 10-12 miles ultimately preparing you to ride 100 miles in one day. In addition they will teach you to use an efficient pedal stroke, eat right to maximize your energy and stretch properly to avoid injury. If your in the market for a new bike they will help you make sense of the various materials and componets so you get a bike that will help you reach your goals within your budget. Throughout the season the training schedule will include information on how to change a tire and perform regular maintenance to ensure your bike is safe and efficient.
Weekly trainings will include weekly "long-rides" on Saturday mornings. These rides will be about 10-15 miles at the start of the season gradually increasing in distance each week. More advanced riders are welcome to extend their training rides on their own if they wish.
Saturday rides will be supplemented with weekday "buddy rides" after work- usually starting at about 6-6:30 PM. These rides will be led by team captains- past participants who have previously completed a century ride with TNT.
Required Gear
You will need the following to participate:
A bike in good working order
A helmet

You can use any type of bike- mountain, road, hybrid- but if you have not used it in a while we recommend that you take it to a bike shop to get it tuned up and safe for distance riding.
