Century Rides (Cycle)

Team In Training's cycling program offers the opportunity to take on the challenge of 100 miles and make a difference in the lives of nearly one million Americans living with blood cancers. Along with a customized training program and expert coaching, participants train with a local group of like-minded individuals for motivation and inspiration.

Team In Training (TNT) is looking for cyclists for the events listed below.

Please note that participation in a TNT event is subject to the local availability of group training and transportation arrangements. Please consult the TNT staff at your local chapter for additional details.

Honored Patients 

 

You train and raise funds in honor of KC metro residents whose lives have been affected by blood cancers. As you get to know your honorees and their families at trainings and team socials, you gain inspiration from their stories. We provide you with a wristband to wear with your honorees' names to remind you of the important cause for which you are training and fundraising.

Training Program

TNT will provide you with a non-competitive, comprehensive training program to prepare you to complete an endurance cycle event. The program is designed with the busy person in mind, so most weekday workouts are 45-90 minutes or less, with longer workouts reserved for the weekend.

Designed and implemented by professional cycling coaches, the training program consists of daily workout schedules, team workouts on Saturdays and fitness clinic that covers bike handling skills, nutrition, injury prevention, bike maintenance and stretching.

Mentors 

Mentors are part TNT participants who have successfully completed the training and fundraising program. The mentor will serve as a resource and peer advisor, encouraging team members throughout the training and fundriasing season.
