Starting with a team of 20 Kansas City runners more than 17 years ago, the Mid-America Chapter was one of the first chapters to offer Team In Training^® (TNT). In 2008, the chapter's coaches and staff will train more than 150 runners and 75 walkers to complete a 26.2-mile marathon or 13.1-mile half marathon, 15 cyclists to complete a 100-mile century ride and 15 triathletes to complete an Olympic-distance triathlon.

We have expanded the program outside of the Kansas City metro area to include Springfield, MO and St. Joseph, MO. In the 2008 fiscal year, TNT participants will raise more than $1 million dollars for research and patient aid programs in our area.
