Team Honored Heroes are very special people who have battled and survived, or who are currently battling, leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma, and who have agreed to share their experience to inspire and motivate Team In Training ^® (TNT) participants.  TNT participants train for, and complete, a marathon, half marathon, hike in a national park, century (100 mile) bike ride, or triathlon in honor of these extraordinary people.

A Personal Hero is someone a TNT participant personally knows who has suffered the physical and emotional effects of a blood cancer.  A Memorial Hero is a person a TNT participant knows who passed away as a result of blood cancer. 

A Team Honored Hero Alumni is someone who has volunteered to be a Team Honored Hero in past seasons, many of whom return to volunteer again and again.

By honoring a member in their own community and hearing their story firsthand, TNT participants are able to understand the true value of their fundraising efforts.
