Team In Training's triathlon program offers the opportunity to take on the challenge of swimming, cycling, and running an Olympic-distance triathlon and make a difference in the lives of an estimated 912,938 Americans living with blood cancers. 

Along with a customized-training program and expert coaching, participants will train with a local group of like-minded individuals for motivation and inspiration.


Team In Training (TNT) is currently recruiting for the following triathlons. Please note that participation in a TNT event is subject to the local availability of group training and transportation arrangements. Please consult the TNT staff at your local chapter for additional details.

Lavaman Triathlon  March 28, 2010
The Lavaman Triathlon and Sports Festival on the island of Kona, HI is an extravaganza of sports and fitness culminating in the Lavaman Olympic Distance Triathlon.  The Lavaman Triathlon starts off with a beautiful 1,500-meter Pacific Ocean swim that starts at Anaeho'omalu Bay and then moves to a scenic 40k bike course with portions on the Ironman World Champion course. The Lavaman Triathlon run is a 10K course that is one of triathlon's most scenic. It starts off with a lava field run, fast street sections and a tour through the Hilton Waikoloa Village resort ground, then finishes with a single track beach trail to the sandy beach finish line.

St. Anthony's Triathlon  April 25, 2010
As the first major race on the U.S. triathlon calendar and one of the premier multi-sports events, St. Anthony's Triathlon has kicked off the triathlon season in North America for the past 27 years. On race day participants will swim through the brisk waters of Tampa Bay, bike along glimmering waterways and quiet harbors, run through picturesque neighborhoods and pass cheering spectators. Race against the world's top professional triathletes as they compete for a lucrative prize purse. The event culminates with a festive waterfront awards party, featuring live music and great food.

Wildflower Triathlons  May 1-2, 2010
The Avia Wildflower Triathlon weekend is a festival of triathlons featuring Long Course, Olympic Distance and Mountain Bike Sprint Distance race options. 
The Long Course Triathlon is one of the premier triathlons in the world. The 1.2-mile swim, 56-mile bike and 13.1-mile run are among the most challenging courses anywhere. Beach Hill, Nasty Grade, Polar Heart Rate Hill and the back country trail run will test the skills of both the professional, elite, age-group triathlete and the first-time long-course competitor.

The Avia Wildflower Olympic Distance Triathlon is an amateur age group and relay team event. This world-class course includes a 1.5K open water swim, a 40K (extremelyhilly) bike course and a brutal 10K run course. The race will include the Wildflower collegiate championships. The best college triathletes from around the country will be competing for Wildflower collegiate, individual and school honors. It is a great race for beginners and accomplished competitors. The Olympic Distance race will also be part of the Triathlon Club Team Competition* event.

The Mountain Bike Triathlon is an exciting sprint-distance event for novice and beginner triathletes, with a .25 mile swim, a 10 mile bicycle course (mountain bikes only) and a short 2 mile run. Age groups begin at 8 and under and continue to 70+. Although there is fierce competition to be the overall Mountain Bike Triathlon champion, most competitors will be first or second time triathletes. This is the place to get started in the sport of triathlon!
