Bank of America Chicago Marathon

The Bank of America Chicago Marathon is the pinnacle of achievement for elite athletes and everyday runners alike. Runners from all 50 states and more than 100 countries will set out to accomplish a personal dream. The Chicago Marathon is known for its fast, flat course. In addition to its speed, the course offers a scenic tour of Chicago as it weaves through 29 diverse neighborhoods and dozens of local and historic landmarks.
Nike Women's Marathon - A Race to Benefit The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society
San Francisco - October 18, 2009 (run/walk, full/half)
The Nike Women's Marathon will take place on a spectacular marathon and half-marathon course, touring past such classic San Francisco sites as Coit Tower, San Francisco Bay, Fisherman's Wharf, Ghirardelli Square, Golden Gate Bridge and much, much more. Walkers and runners of all levels are welcome. And don't worry: There are no "cable car hills."
Detroit Free Press/Flagstar Marathon

One of a select few races around the world that can truly be called an international race - its course really does take runners across two nations - the Detroit Free Press Marathon & Half Marathon features an urban route that takes runners through the streets of the Motor City and over into Ontario for a run along the banks of the Detroit River. The race even takes runners underground for a mile-long stretch of the race, between the eighth and ninth miles through the Detroit-Windsor Tunnel under the river.
