Testimonials

Steve B. Crofton, MD:

Soon after officially being place in remission for Hodgkin's Lymphoma, I saw a brochure for TNT.  I had always wanted to do a triathlon and decided to do it.  The staff, coaches and friends I made that year will last a lifetime and the ultimate satisfaction, after crossing the finish line at the Wildflower Triathlon, was knowing I helped raise money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.  The same organization that helped save my life!!!

Kelly G. Pasadena, MD:

I never regretted my decision to give up my career to raise my children but I still felt like something was missing.  I joined TNT and it literally changed my life.  I had "me" time.  I made new friends and I accomplished my goal to run a marathon.  I will always be thankful and always be involved in Team in Training.  Thanks!

Dani R. Baltimore, MD:

I have been an oncology nurse for 6+ years, and everyday I see the good, the bad, and the ugly of cancer.  LLS has done so much for so many of my patients, many of whom would not have been able to get through treatment - whether due to financial constraints, lack of a personal support system, or geographic barriers, without help.  Training for this marathon is probably the hardest thing I have EVER attempted, but the sense of empowerment and achievement after each long run is almost surreal.  It is exciting to finally be on the proactive side of treatment working to prevent cancer rather than trying to clean up the damage left behind.  My patients have taught me about courage, grace, faith, compassion, and living life to its fullest - it was my turn to repay the favor.  Now it's yours - you can do this - and you will be so glad you did!!

Pat N. Pikesville, MD:

No matter whether you are a "novice" or a "old pro", the Team In Training organization helps you prepare properly for your endurance training. I, someone who would never have called herself a runner in any sense of the word, was lucky to become associated with the TNT Maryland Chapter (Howard County). The team spirit, training captains and coaches, and companions made my experience the best in my life. I am a real runner now and can proudly state that I have been able to support a great cause. I look forward to many moons with the TNT group.
