WALK
"Above all, do not lose your desire to walk. Every day I walk myself into a state of well-being and walk away from every illness. I have walked myself into my best thoughts, and I know of no thought so burdensome that one cannot walk away from it." ~Soren Kierkegaard

The Team In Training® Walk Program is open to individuals of all fitness levels. Whether you are a seasoned walker or a first time endurance trainee, your training will be tailored by one of our certified coaches to ensure you have the proper technique, endurance and pace needed to finish your half or full marathon successfully.
This comprehensive program is designed to take walkers from a beginning pace of three-to-four miles and build gradually to 26.2 miles, a full marathon, or 13.1 miles, a half marathon; it covers technique, endurance, and fast-pace training; it also consists of clinics on nutrition, proper shoe and clothing selection, speed work and injury prevention.
RUN
The Team In Training® running program includes weekly group training sessions, which are the perfect way for you to meet your fellow teammates and for your coach to assess your progress. The weekly group training sessions will also offer specialty clinics such as proper footwear, equipment fittings, nutrition, injury prevention and more.
Your coach will provide you with a comprehensive training schedule, mapping out the mileage and duration for each day of the week. Our schedules, which are based on the runner's fitness ability and marathon experience, allow a person of any skill level to reach his or her goal.
Level 1
This is for the beginner runner who has only been running a couple of miles per week for a short period of time or someone with no experience. Your goal is to finish the race in relative comfort.
Level 2
This is for the slightly more experienced runner. Someone who has run in a few road races to date and have been running consistently for about six months.
Level 3
This is for the more experienced runner. Perhaps you have already run in a marathon or half marathon. You may be aiming for a certain finishing time.
