    Mom with Stroller

    FAQ

Q: What are the benefits of the Moms In Training team?
A: Moms have the chance to stay in shape and train at a location convenient for them.  Not only will you meet other moms, but you'll be gaining new workout buddies and play-date opportunities!  Additionally, you'll have the ability to support The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and be a part of the incredible research LLS is doing to cure blood cancers and support cancer patients in need.

Q: Is my child allowed to come with me to the training sessions?
A: Absolutely!  As long as your child is able to remain in the stroller, we encourage you to bring your child to the training sessions!  The workouts allow you to exercise with a stroller, however a jogging stroller is not required.

Q: Can my child participate in the actual event on October 13th?
A: Yes, children in strollers are permitted during the race but they must stay in the stroller at all times.

Q: What do Group Training Sessions consist of and are they mandatory?
A: The training sessions will begin on August 16th and are offered on Saturday mornings in the Mansfield or Westboro area.  Training will last approximately 1 hour. The sessions are NOT mandatory!  Everyone will receive a detailed email with workouts you can do on your own if you cannot attend a group training.

Q: I am not a runner at all! Can I really train for a 6.2mi road race in eight weeks?
A: YES! We have participants of all levels who join, but over 65% are beginners!  You will have the ability to run, walk, or do a run/walk combination!

Q: How much do I have to fundraise in order to participate?
A: For this event, we ask that you fundraise a commitment of $500.  Participants who exceed their fundraising commitment will receive exciting incentives! There is a $50 registration fee to join which is credited towards your fundraising goal.

Q: I've never fundraised this much before! Can I really do it?
A: Yes!  We provide you with fundraising support including a website and fundraising plan that works for you. Staff and mentors will provide additional fundraising support to you throughout the program.

Q: I know someone personally affected by cancer. Can I train in honor or memory of this person?
A: Yes. We encourage all participants to honor someone they know who has been affected by any type of cancer.

Q: Am I able to withdraw from the program at a later date?
A: Yes. You will have until September 19 to withdraw with no further fundraising obligation.

Q: Unfortunately, I am out of town on October 13, can I still participate?
A: Yes! The event is optional and most find the 8-week training rewarding in itself.  You can always find another local race to sign up for and run on a different date!

Q. I am ready to register! What do I need to do?
A.
