Running For A Cure! 

Our application deadline was on September 25, 2009.  We will still accept applications after this deadline, however, applicatiions received by this deadline will have priorty. 

Over the past 20 years, The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Team In Training® (TNT)  has grown to become an unparalleled sports training program- training over 390,000 participants nation wide.
For the past 16 years TNT's Massachusett's Chapter has been fortunate to have the support of the Boston Atheltic Association in particiapting in the Boston Marathon®. Last year,Team In Training's® Boston Marathon® Team raised over $726,000.00 towards our mission. Join us in raising the bar in 2010, and run one of the oldest and greatest marathons in history.

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) is the world's largest voluntary health organization dedicated to funding blood cancer research and providing education and patient services. We have invested more than $680 million in research since 1949 - over $69 million in 2009 - specifically targeting leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma. Last year alone, LLS made 4.9 million contacts with patients, caregivers and healthcare professionals.

TNT's Boston Marathon Team is a committed group of runners with a
mission: to save lives one mile at a time. What makes a TNT runner?  Heart. 
All our runner's are diverse, not only in age, but in experience. 
You don't have to be an athlete to be a runner. TNT's goal is to equip you with the proper tools and skills to help you cross the finish line. 

Are you already an avid runner?

Whether you are already a qualified Boston Marathon® candidate or looking to qualify for Boston Marathon® 2011, TNT can help you achieve your personal running goals. Our coaching structure is geared to customizing a training schedule for your individual running needs.

By helping to raise funds for leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma research and patient services, you'll receive:  
                                                            
* Paid Race Registration into the Boston Marathon®
* Personalized fitness training by certified coaches for a period of five months
* Training clinics (example: nutrition, hydration, injury prevention, and
   stretching)
* Your own personal Web site for online fundraising
* Support Network of Staff, Mentors, & Volunteers
* A group of teammates who will be with you every step of the way

What do I have to fundraise?
All non-qualified charity runners are asked to raise a minimum of $3,250.  We are looking for people who are willing to raise the bar! Last year the average amount raised per team member was $4,800!

What if I am already qualified or already have entry into the Boston Marathon®?
We welcome anyone who already has a number for the marathon!  The fundraising minimum for a qualified runner, or for someone who already has entry into the race, is $850.
