Triathlons
Team In Training's triathlon program offers the opportunity to take on the challenge of swimming, cycling, and running an Olympic-distance triathlon and make a difference in the lives of nearly one million Americans living with blood cancers.
Along with a customized-training program and expert coaching, participants will train with a local group of like-minded individuals for motivation and inspiration.

Please note that participation in a TNT event is subject to the local availability of group training and transportation arrangements. Please consult the TNT staff at your local chapter for additional details.
TEAMS ARE NOW FORMING FOR THE FOLLOWING EVENTS:
Bass Lake Triathlon
WHEN: June 2, 2012
WHERE: Bass Lake, CA
SPRINT DISTANCE: 400m swim, 20km ride, 5km run
INTERNATIONAL DISTANCE: 1.5 km swim, 40km cycle, 10km run
WHY: Bass Lake is situated in the foothills of the Sierras, just hours from San Francisco and Los Angeles and at the gateway to the southern entrance to Yosemite National Park. Located at just over 3000 feet of altitude in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountains, Bass Lake is surrounded by pines, crisp, clean air and, for the triathletes, rolling, challenging terrain.
South Maui Triathlon
WHEN: June 10, 2012
WHERE: Maui, HI
DISTANCE: 1.5 km swim, 40km cycle, 10km run
WHY: The magical island of Maui is an enchanting vacation destination boasting a myriad of exciting attractions and things to do. Hike to the summit of a giant crater, surf the blue ocean swells, enjoy upscale shopping, explore beautiful waterfalls, dance at a luau, discover cultural landmarks, and relax on Maui?s gorgeous white sand beaches. Whether you crave romance, adventure or solitude, Maui is a captivating island paradise - from the peaceful beaches of Wailea to the mountains on the western coast.

Ironman 70.3 Vineman
WHEN: July 15, 2012
WHERE: Santa Rosa, CA
DISTANCE: 1.2 mile swim, 56 mile cycle, 13.1 mile run
WHY: The Ironman 70.3 Vineman Triathlon (formerly the Half Vineman Triathlon) consists of a 1.2 mile swim, 56 mile bike, and 13.1 mile run triathlon. This event has become one of the most popular and highly competitive triathlons in the world.
The Ironman 70.3 Vineman Triathlon is held in Sonoma County, California (about one hour north of San Francisco). The point-to-point event begins at Johnson's Beach in Guerneville and takes entrants past hundreds of vineyards and dozens of wineries before it finishes up at Windsor High School in Windsor. The course is a tour of Sonoma County wine country, passing through four different grape growing regions: the Russian River Region, the Dry Creek Valley, the Alexander Valley, and Chalk Hill.
