Greetings... Welcome all of you to the TNT Cycle Team! I?m looking forward to sharing an exciting, challenging, and inspiring training season with each of you.

We all come to Team In Training for different reasons. In my case, I started with triathlons in 2003. My girlfriend, Laura, had an advanced case of CML (Chronic Mylogenous Leukemia). She had just finished an intense treatment regime. There was little I could do to directly fight her leukemia, so I decided I would join TNT to raise funds for research to help the cause for the long run. Later, Laura became an Honored Teammate for TNT. What we found here were great people, inspiring stories of triumph, a healthy lifestyle and some life-changing experiences. Since that time, Laura?s leukemia went into remission, and we got married in 2006! I?ve completed over two dozen endurance events since that time. We have met hundreds of the most amazing people, and shared the challenge of endurance sports with new friends.

Whether it?s the cause, the people, or the physical challenge that brought you to TNT, I?m confident that by the time we cross that finish line together, each of you will have experienced all that TNT has to offer. Get ready for the time of your life! GO TEAM!

Welcome to Team in Training!!!  I'm Bob Tripp and four years ago I found out about Team in Training and thought I would give it a try!  I was a casual cyclist for the past 9 years and enjoyed riding (having taken a bike tour of Ireland in 2001) but had no clue that I could ride 100 miles!!  And what do you know, it worked!!  I completed the 2005 Solvang Century, my first, with over 5,000 of my closest friends and over 275 TNT members from all over the county.

Since then I've mentored 3 other TNT events and have completed 10 additional endurance events (this will be my fourth Solvang Century)..  Now I am back as your Assistant Coach for  the 2007/8 Solvang Century Team.

I was very well prepared for my first century.  Yes it demonstrated that together, the Team in Training Cycling Team, can accomplish this feat!  My goal is to make this an equally rewarding experience.

Riding with TNT over the past several years has been one of the best experiences of my life!  As TNT Coaches and Mentors, we will work with your individual skill level, from first time riders to Lance Armstrong, to assure that you will finish the ride, ride with safety and enjoy this experience.  I am still riding with people I met in my first TNT season.

By the way, did I mention that my Grandmother died of Leukemia, my Mother and Father both died of cancer and my wife is a breast cancer survivor?  Twice this year I was touched by having friend's lose young children to Leukemia.   I am not only doing this for you but to help continue the work to find a cure for Cancer.

I am looking forward to a great Solvang Century Season!
