"The endurance athlete shows
the world that the boundaries and limitations of what we once thought
existed, don't... Except beyond the realm where we can not
dream. And for that reason, when we do an endurance event, we do it
not just for ourselves, but for those around us, in hopes that they too
will have a dream." -unknown
For more information about the programs offered by the Greater Los
Angeles Chapter, contact Team in Training at 310-216-7600 or fill out

When Ed Stone joined Team In Training at age 26, he had
already learned the hard way that "what doesn't kill you
makes you strong." As a young college student, he was
diagnosed with acute myelogenous leukemia, a cancer that
nearly ended his life. It took a risky bone marrow
transplant to save him. During the next 13 years, he
battled and persevered through two additional types of
cancer.
As if battling cancer weren't enough, at the same time, Ed
trained with TNT for no less than 12 events, including
marathons, half marathons, century (100-mile) bike rides
and eight triathlons!
"Cancer and the challenges of treatment taught me a few
things about endurance," said Ed. "When I learned I could
train with TNT and raise funds for cancer research to help
others, there was no stopping me."
Ed is living proof of the "mind-body connection." He has
beaten cancer and evolved into a world-class athlete. He is
the living answer to the question: "I wonder if I could do
an endurance event?" And the answer is, with "Team In
Training, yes you can!"
