Virtual Team In
Training (VTNT) is an exciting program available in
select parts of the United States and is designed to bring all of the
benefits of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Team In
Training® (TNT) to people who do not live near an active TNT
program. Join us and train online through VTNT.
VTNT is a program for runners and walkers that offers the following event
options:
- Walt Disney World® Marathon Weekend (Orlando, FL, walk or
run, full and half), January 10-11, 2009
- PF Chang's® Rock 'n' Roll ArizonaTM Marathon
& 1/2 Marathon (Phoenix, AZ, walk or run, full and half), January
18, 2009
- Country Music Marathon & 1/2 Marathon (Nashville, TN, run or walk,
full or half), April 25, 2009
- Rock 'n' Roll Marathon® (San Diego, CA, walk or run, full),
May 31, 2009
- Mayor's Marathon & Half Marathon (Anchorage, AK, walk or run,
full or half), June 2009
- Bank of America Chicago Marathon (Chicago, IL, run, full) October
2009
- Nike Women's Marathon and Half Marathon (San Francisco, CA, walk
or run, full and half), October 2009
- Other fall 2009 events TBD
VTNT participants receive all of the benefits of TNT participants and
more, including:
- Training to run or walk a marathon or half marathon, provided by
online experienced coaches and experts
- Transportation and accommodations to the featured event
- A once-in-a-lifetime experience to complete a personal goal and, at the
same time, to help stop leukemia and other blood cancers from taking more
lives
- Inspiration by a patient hero - a child or adult cheering for
you every step of the way
- Your very own Web site to help tell others about your participation in
TNT and to help raise funds online from friends, family and co-workers
In return, VTNT participants commit to raising funds to support the
Society's mission of finding cures for leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's
disease and myeloma and improving the quality of life of patients and their
families.
