Team In Training offers runners and walkers the opportunity to take on the challenge of a marathon or half-marathon and make a difference in the lives of nearly one million Americans living with blood cancers.

Along with a customized-training program and expert coaching, participants will train with a local group of like-minded individuals for motivation and inspiration.

Christie Clinic Illinois Marathon and Half-Marathon Champaign-Urbana, IL Run or Walk April 28, 2012 This marathon features a fast and flat course with a beautiful, scenic tour of revitalized downtown streets, tree-lined residential neighborhoods and awesome, paved park trails. Dodge Rock 'n' Roll San Diego Marathon & Half-Marathon to Benefit The Leukemia &Lymphoma Soceity

Music makes up the heart and "sole" of this event. Live bands will be performing a variety of music from alternative, classic and punk rock to blues, jazz and soul along each mile of the race course. The bands set the tempo for this marathon party, where runners and spectators alike will be rockin' in the streets to these mini-concerts.

The tree-lined streets of suburban Chicago's Highland Park are the setting for the North Shore Half Marathon, which takes runners on a 13.1-mile tour of some of the metro area's most affluent neighborhoods made famous in movies made by director John Hughes in the 1980s, including "Ferris Bueller's Day Off," "Sixteen Candles" and "The Breakfast Club."
