What is Moms In Training?

A flexible nine-week workout program on Saturday mornings starting Aug. 23 in the following locations:
San Francisco, East Bay, Peninsula, South Bay and Santa Cruz/Monterey.

Enjoy social events throughout the season with moms in your area!

Program culminates with the Monster Dash, a Halloween-costumed family fun run or walk in San Jose on Sunday, Oct. 26, 2014.

Moms and Kids

Q: I know someone personally affected by cancer. Can I train in honor or memory of this person?
A: Absolutely! We encourage you to honor someone you know who has been affected by ANY type of cancer.

Q: Is my child allowed at the workout?
A: As long as your baby is able to remain in the stroller, you are welcome to bring your baby to the training sessions! The workouts allow you to exercise with a stroller. Jogging strollers are not required.

Q: What if I can't attend all the workouts or participate in the Oct. 26 event?
A: The program is tailored around being flexible for moms! We encourage you to attend as many workouts as you can. You can still participate in the program even if you are unable to participate in the event.

Q: What do the workouts consist of?
A: Workouts will last approximately 60-75 minutes. They will consist of running, walking, cross-training & stretching.

Q: I am not an athlete at all! Can I really train to complete a 5K or 10K in nine weeks?
A: YES! We have moms of all levels who join. You have the ability to run, walk, or do a run/walk combination!

Q: How much do I have to fundraise in order to participate?
We ask you to commit to raising at least $500. You will receive a fundraising website and staff support. There is a $50 registration fee to join, which is credited toward your fundraising goal. The average mom has raised $1,500
