TNT offers:

  • Great people.  Our coaches, certified in partnership with the American Hiking Association (AHS), provide exceptional training and clinics on fitness, nutrition, gear and injury prevention and hiking principles like Leave No Trace.
  • TNT Hikers also will receive a one-year membership to AHS.
  • Amazing destinations. Choices may include hiking trips to Yosemite, Grand Canyon and Rocky Mountain national parks.
  • Fundraising support. From your own Web page to our helpful staff and fundraising clinics, your fundraising will be easy and successful.
  • A fabulous weekend.  Your travel, lodging, guide fees and pre-and post-event activities are all covered for an unforgettable weekend experience. A lifesaving cause. For many, the greatest benefit of all is knowing you will be making a difference in the fight against blood cancers.

Upcoming Hike Adventures

Team In Training (TNT) is currently recruiting for the following hiking adventures. Please note that participation in a TNT event is subject to the local availability of group training and transportation arrangements. Please consult the TNT staff at your local chapter for additional details.

Fill out our online Tell Me More form to find out the hike adventures offered by your local chapter.

The hike program will prepare you to complete one of several trails in your destination park. An experienced hike coach will prepare you for trails equivalent to 4 to 8 hours of walking. Clinics are provided on hiking and climbing techniques, hydration, nutrition, and equipment. Group training hikes will be held at various locations within 60 miles of St. Louis to accommodate distance and/or to mimic trail conditions. You will receive a training schedule at Kick Off, which is a daily account of the physical exercise needed to complete your event.

Grand Canyon Hike
May 13-16, 2010

Experience the Grand Canyon as few people ever will. Five million people a year visit the Grand Canyon, but only a small fraction of them venture into it.  Now you can hike the Grand Canyon and experience it from a unique and thrilling perspective.  You will be sent on a trail that best suits your physical ability and trail interest. Follow the rolling picturesque hills or challenge yourself to skirt the cliffs of the Canyon on the rim trails, or take yourself on an extreme adventure as you descend into the Canyon on wilderness trails.
