Where We Train
Group sessions are held in various locations in eastern Pennsylvania. The
following is a list with downloadable directions to each training
site:
Triathlon Training
Depending on your skill level and performance desires, participants may
start off training for 10 hours and increase to 30 hours per week closer to
the event.
You will need to purchase a good pair of running shoes. We recommend going
to a speciality running store where an experienced salesperson can gauge
your running style and form.
Official TNT wet suits for races with expected water temperatures below 78
degrees will be provided to participants. If the race is not expected to
have cold water temperatures, participants will have to purchase their own
swim suit.
Road or triathlon bikes are the preferred type in triathlons and duathlons
due to their lightweight, aerodynamic design. Mountain and hybrid bikes are
usually too heavy to achieve maximum performance.
Before purchasing any equipment, we would advise you to contact the TNT
coaches. Team In Training has partnerships with local cycle and sport shops
offering discounts to participants.
