ALYSSA HAYDT - CAMPAIGN MANAGER
(TNT staff member since September 1999) - alyssa.haydt@lls.org

Events completed as a participant:                                                                                       2003 San Diego Rock 'n' Roll Marathon
2006 Nike Women's Half Marathon

Favorite TNT moment: "I will never forget when I took my Bucks County team to their event in San Diego - the very first event that I completed! Seeing most of my team on the course and being able to be out on the course cheering for them was amazing."

Advice to first-time participants: "Don't doubt yourself. You can complete an endurance event even if you think that you are not physically fit. Patience is key. You will feel your body mold into something that you never thought was possible."

Pam Lutz
PAM LUTZ- CAMPAIGN COORDINATOR
(TNT staff member since August 2006) - pam.lutz@lls.org

Events completed as a participant:                                                                                       2006 Nike Women's Marathon
2009 Nation's Triathlon

Favorite TNT moment: "My first marathon was  the Nike Women's Marathon. I was running along and at about mile 18 I felt something that I had never felt before - a pain in my right calf - and it was the most painful thing ever. It ended up being a stress fracture (not that my stress fracture was my favorite experience),  but how the coaches, staff and my teammates supported me right until the end was just an amazing thing.  My TNT coach helped me get to the finish line with a lot of mental support.  The staff all cheered me on, but what I remember most was how I was almost an hour behind my teammates and they waited for me at the finish with open arms and tears of joy that I had completed my first full marathon. It was the most amazing feeling!

My second favorite moment was when my 16 year old son completed the 2010 San Diego Half Marathon.  I was so proud to see this young man train, fundraise and cross the finish.  He always supported me and helped me fundraise, knowing he wanted to do this when he was old enough.  Knowing I influenced him to want to give back and do something for other people makes me know why they say it is so important for parents to lead by example."

Advice to first-time participants: "Live for today and believe that you can conquer anything you want.  You must first start it to accomplish it."

Erica Boles
ERICA BOLES - CAMPAIGN COORDINATOR
(TNT staff member since May 2010) - erica.boles@lls.org

Events completed as a participant:                                                                                       2009 Pittsburgh Half Marathon

Favorite TNT moment: "During a race I started talking to teammate from another Chapter for several miles, only to discover that she was a blood cancer survivor herself.  Her story was truly inspiring and a reminder of why we do what we do!"

Advice to first-time participants: "You only get as much out of TNT as you put in, so make the most of the experience - attend trainings, get to know your teammates, and share our mission with everyone you meet!"
