Team In Training offers runners and walkers the opportunity to take on the challenge of a marathon or half-marathon and make a difference in the lives of an estimated 912,938 Americans living with or in remission blood cancers. 

Along with a customized-training program and expert coaching, participants will train with a local group of like-minded individuals for motivation and inspiration.

Team In Training (TNT) is currently recruiting walkers and runners for the following events. Please note that participation in a TNT event is subject to the local availability of group training and transportation arrangements. Please consult the TNT staff at your local chapter for additional details.

Arizona Teams:

Rock 'n' Roll  San Diego Marathon & 1/2 Marathon  June 6, 2010

 

San Diego, known for its scenic coastline and laid-back lifestyle, has so much to offer participants both on and off the course! The thoughtfully designed route will run past a variety of signature attractions in San Diego. Whether walking or running, keep your eyes open and take in the scenery.

Rock 'n' Roll Seattle Marathon and 1/2 Marathon   June 26, 2010        

A Running Nirvana. Featuring ideal running temperatures in the mid-60's and beautiful scenery, the Pacific Northwest is a perfect destination for an early summer vacation. The 26.2 and 13.1-mile courses feature 70 live bands and 40 cheer squads and is expected to draw between 15,000-20,000 runners and walkers. At this point, both courses will start in Tukwila again in 2010,  a suburb located approximately 10 miles south of the downtown core, and will wind along Lake Washington offering scenic views of Puget Sound and Mt. Rainer before finishing outside of Qwest Field in downtown Seattle.  Organizers plan to unveil any changes to the half and full marathon courses later in early 2010.

 

Utah Teams:

BMO Vancouver Marathon & 1/2 Marathon  May 2, 2010                                

A paved, spectator-friendly course starting on Pacific Boulevard, east of GM Place.  Runners run out and back by the inner harbour of False Creek, through Strathcona and into beautifully forested Stanley Park. Exit at English Bay then cross the Burrard Street Bridge to the spectator-filled cafe, beaches and beautiful homes of Kitsilano, before returning to the finish on Pacific Boulevard, south of GM Place. Some sloping hills and Burrard Bridge with 100' elevation is crossed 2 times.

Ogden Utah Marathon   May 3, 2010                                                                         

The Marathon's beautiful course starts at an elevation of 5400ft.  As you run the first half you will enjoy open roads, green fields and a beautiful gushing river.  At the half way mark and start of the 1/2 Marathon you are at an elevation of 5000ft.   The last half of the Marathon is equally beautiful.  You will start the final half by running around Pineview Reservoir then drop into Ogden Canyon where you will run along the roaring Ogden River.  Breathtaking views of pine covered slopes changing into steep rock faces will be encountered along with quaint homes nestled along the river's edge.  The course ends downtown on Historic 25th street at an elevation of 4,309 Feet.
