Your mentor is your everyday contact for basic Team In Training® (TNT) questions. You can expect to draw on his or her experience with TNT, since every mentor has completed at least one TNT event prior to becoming a mentor.
He or she will be able to help brainstorm regarding fundraising and tell you what to expect from your training and on race day. Your assigned mentor will be giving you a call within the first two weeks after the season has begun to say hello and find out how your training and fundraising is coming along.
Please utilize your mentor, as he or she can be a great source of advice, support and ideas on fundraising. Remember, mentors are not coaches, and are not staff members of TNT; they do not get paid for their work. They have chosen to donate their time to help you meet your goals. They may not be able to answer some of your more detailed questions, but can help to point you in the right direction or track down answers. Mentors will are there to support you.
Mentors should be available via email or phone and are expected to show up at a minimum of 75 percent of practices and events.
