Along with a customized-training program and expert coaching, participants will train with a local group of like-minded individuals for motivation and inspiration.

The Avia Wildflower Triathlon weekend is a festival of triathlons featuring Long Course, Olympic Distance and Mountain Bike Sprint Distance race options.

The Long Course Triathlon is one of the premier triathlons in the world. The 1.2-mile swim, 56-mile bike and 13.1-mile run are amoung the most challenging courses anywhere. Beach Hill, Nasty Grade, Polar Heart Rate Hill and the back country trail run will test the skills of the professional, elite, age-group triathlete and the first-time long-course competitor.

The Avia Wildflower Olympic Distance Triathlon is an amateur age group and relay team event. This world-class course includes a 1.5K open water swim, a 40K (extremely hilly bike course) and a brutal 10K run course. The race will include the Wildflower collegiate championships. The best college triathletes from around the country will be competing for Wildflower collegiate, individual and school honors. It is a great race for beginners and accomplished competitors. The Olympic Distance race will also be part of the Triathlon Club Team Competition* event.

The Mountain Bike Triathlon is an exciting sprint-distance event for novice and beginner triathletes, with a .25 mile swim, a 10 mile bicycle course (mountain bikes only) and a short 2 mile run. Age groups begin at 8 and under and continue to 70+. Although there is fierce competition to be the overall Mountain Bike Triathlon champion, most competitors will be first or second time triathletes. This is the place to get started in the sport of triathlon!

Once again, the Wildflower Triathlon Festival will host the Triathlon Club Team Competition with age group triathletes from club teams competing for club team points and a team title. There are also relay teams with six different categories.
