of all levels by offering various types of marathons and
training regimens. From right here in Delaware to the
Golden Gate Bridge to Dublin, Irelsan, chapter staff
mentors and coaches work with each participant to ensure a
fun and pleasurable Team In Training® (TNT)

Full

A
full marathon gives you the opportunity to run or walk a
well-marked 26.2-mile course. As a
TNT
participant
you are sent to beautiful and interesting destinations. The
course is designed to give you the opportunity to see the
best of the city in which you choose to complete your
event.
Half
Marathon:
A half
marathon affords you the same opportunity as the full
marathon however, you will complete 13.1-miles on a
well-marked scenic course. The half marathon usually runs
at the same time as the full marathon but the starting
point may be in a different spot or at a later start
time.

Run/Walk or
Walk Training
You will need to set aside aprocimately 6-8
hours per week to work on your individual training. The longer runs or
walks will be done with the team on the weekends. You will begin
with low mileage during group run/walks and will work up to higher mileage
as a result of your dedication to training. You will get to feel the
amazing difference in your overall physical being.
Programs are customized for all fitness levels
from absolute beginner to multi time marathoner. Participants have the
option of running or combination run/walk or a walk training
program.
Every 200 to 300 miles you will need to replace
your running shoes. So it is expected you will need to purchase one to
two pairs throughout your training. In cold weather, you will need to
wear several layers with the bottom one being breathable fabric. For warm
days, it is suggested you wear breathable fabrics like Nike Dri-Fit or Cool
Max clothing.
