The Shamrock Duathlon Glastonbury, May 17, 2009
The Shamrock Duathlon is Connecticut's premier racing event.
Many of the region's top duathletes choose this event as a springboard
for the national championships.Both 5K runs follow the same course,
a double loop in the neighborhood of the Irish American Club.
The bike is a 28K loop of rolling hills through scenic farmlands and historic Glastonbury. Great food and Irish beer at the finish
St. Anthony's Triathlon
St. Petersburg, FL - April 26, 2009
As the first major race on the U.S. calendar, St. Anthony's Triathlon has kicked off the triathlon season in North America for the past 26 years. On race day participants will swim through the brisk waters of Tampa Bay, bike along glimmering waterways and quiet harbors and run through picturesque neighborhoods and pass cheering spectators. Race against the world's top professional triathletes as they compete for $50,000. The event culminates with a festive waterfront awards party featuring live music, great food, cold beer and cool door prizes.
The Nations Triathlon, To Benefit The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Washington, DC - September 14, 2009
The Nation's Triathlon® is the most spectacular triathlon course in the world. It is truly a one-of-a-kind course route that takes competitors through the heart of the Capitol of the United States of America! Through cooperation with government agencies, the race has gotten permission to close Pennsylvania Avenue, Constitution Avenue, Rock Creek Park and a host of other roads, boulevards and avenues. The entire course is closed to traffic by Metropolitan and US Park Police so no traffic will be on the course.
