If you'd like to experience the satisfaction of running, walking,
cycling or swimming while providing support to thousands who live
with a blood cancer, then The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Team In
Training® (TNT) is for you.
TNT gives you the opportunity to reach a milestone as you train for a
26.2-mile marathon, a 13.1-mile half marathon, a 100-mile century bike ride
or a triathlon. At the same time, every step you take will help us reach a
lifesaving milestone for those who live with leukemia, Hodgkin and
non-Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma: cures.
We're now recruiting for the following events:
Country Music Marathon - Nashville, Tenn. (Saturday,
April 25, 2009) - The 10th annual Country Music Marathon & 1/2 Marathon
will start in Centennial Park and run through Nashville's most scenic
sights. Fifty bands on 28 entertainment stages and hundreds of high
school cheerleaders will entertain runners, walkers and spectators alike.
Country, rock, jazz, blues, swing and more will pulsate every mile on the
course.
Capital City Half Marathon - Columbus, Ohio (Saturday, May
2, 2009) - Celebrate spring in Ohio's capital city on a course
that highlights both the small town charm of Columbus and its bristling
urban environment.
Memphis in May Triathlon - Memphis, Tenn. (Sunday, May 17,
2009) - More than 1,500 pro and amateur athletes from around the
nation and the world compete in the 1.5K-swim, 40K-bike and 10K-run event
at Edmond Orgill Park. The race is in a park setting within a mostly rural
area of Millington. The bike course is flat and the run is moderately
hilly. The race is in conjuction with the month long Mempis In May
festival.
We'll begin recruiting for athletes for our spring events in January
2009.
