TNT Program and Policies

This year, The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society will train an estimated 30,000 runners, walkers, triathletes and cyclists to participate in a marathon, triathlon or century ride in our most successful fundraising program nationwide, Team In Training (TNT). During its 24-year history nationally since 1988, the Team in Training program has raised over $1.2 billion to date.

Team In Training offers runners, walkers, triathletes and cyclists of all fitness abilities a four to five month comprehensive training program under the guidance of former Olympians, triathletes, fitness directors and professional trainers.

In return for professional training with a team and possibly traveling to marathon, triathlon and century sites, the participants raise valuable funds in the fight against leukemia, Hodgkin's disease, lymphoma, and myeloma.

Each member of our team is participating in honor of individuals from our community affected by leukemia or its related cancers. Completing a marathon, triathlon or a century ride is a celebration of human spirit, physical ability and mental endurance. For members of Team In Training, it is also a celebration of life.

The Commitment - Team In Training is first and foremost a fund-raising program. The primary goal is to raise funds for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's programs of research, patient aid, public and professional education, advocacy and community service. In light of this objective, we take your commitment seriously to raise the minimum fundraising goal.

We want all Team In Training participants to be successful in raising at least the minimum fundraising goal and have structured the program to provide as much support as possible.
