Team In Training offers runners and walkers the opportunity to take on the challenge of a marathon or half-marathon and make a difference in the lives of an estimated 912,938 Americans living with or in remission blood cancers. 

Along with a customized-training program and expert coaching, participants will train with a local group of like-minded individuals for motivation and inspiration.

Team In Training (TNT) is currently recruiting walkers and runners for the following events. Please note that participation in a TNT event is subject to the local availability of group training and transportation arrangements. Please consult the TNT staff at your local chapter for additional details.

Rock 'n' Roll Marathon ~ San Diego, California ~ 
Join Team In Training® for the 12th Annual Rock 'n' Roll Marathon in beautiful San Diego. Walk or run to 13.1 or 26.2 miles of rock bands, cheerleaders, great aid stations and more! Considered the best in the industry, the Rock 'n' Roll Marathon Health & Fitness Expo boasts more than 100 exhibits featuring free samples, interactive displays, and exciting sweepstakes. Bus travel included.

 

Rock 'n' Roll Seattle Marathon  & 1/2 Marathon ~ Seattle, Washington ~
A RUNNING NIRVANA!  Rock the
Pacific Northwest where ideal running temperatures, beautiful scenery and an eclectic music scene are a perfect fit for the Inaugural Rock 'n' Roll Seattle!  The Rock 'n' Roll Seattle Health & Fitness Expo sets the stage for an exciting marathon weekend! For two days, over 100 exhibitors will offer free samples, showcase the latest in running gear, sports apparel, health & nutritional information and much more.  Make friends, make a difference, and make it to the finish line.

 

Team In Training ® offers both runners and walkers, no matter your fitness level, a marathon program to help you become fit, train for an endurance sport and help cure blood cancers.

The marathon program consists of a schedule of daily workouts that includes team workouts twice a week with our professional coach. The comprehensive marathon program also includes seminars on proper clothing, injury prevention, nutrition as well as many other important topics.

Our marathon training program focuses on enhancing participants' walking and/or running endurance and technique . Our coaches provide workout schedule that break down the workout for each day and fitness level.

Training, injury prevention and nutrition are integral. This is a sample of what to expect on the training schedule:

  • Team endurance training every Saturday*
  • Coached team training during the week
  • Train on your own (or with other Team members) three to four days a week based on the training schedule
  • One to two rest days a week

Based on this schedule over four to five months of training, team participants will be able to comfortably and confidently complete their marathon or half marathon.
